CMAT 2017 Result, Score Card, Merit List
CMAT 2017 Results are announced and candidates can download their CMAT score card by visiting the official site, aicte-cmat.in. AICTE has also published the CMAT 2017 All India Merit List on the official site. Candidates can now apply to various institutes accepting CMAT score. The exam is a computer-based test and is objective in nature. The paper will have 4 sections and would be conducted in english only. The exam is considered to be moderately difficult in comparison to other management entrance exams such as CAT and XAT.

CMAT score is valid for one year and is necessary for applying to AICTE approved B-Schools. Earlier, CMAT was conducted twice a year but from 2015 onwards, it is being conducted once a year.
More than 1000 management institutes accept CMAT score. Some of the top institutes which accept CMAT score for admission are KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research, Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship, Goa Institute of Management etc. DTE Maharashtra has earlier announced that CMAT is a mandatory exam for admission to MBA program in various colleges of Maharashtra under All India Quota.
CMAT 2017 Important Dates
CMAT 2017 exam is scheduled for January 28, 2017. AICTE has kept January 29 as a reserved day in case the exam could not be conducted on January 28 due to any circumstance. CMAT 2017 Eligibility
The Eligibility Criteria for CMAT 2017 for PGCM, PGDM, Executive PGDM, MBA, and similar courses is listed below:
- The candidate must be an Indian National.
- The candidate must have completed a Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration.
- The candidates must also have secured at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of applicants belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination.
- The lower age limit of the candidate is 21 years. No upper age limit has been officially declared for the candidates who are applying to CMAT 2017.

CMAT 2017 Application Process
CMAT 2017 Application Process is a three-step process. First a candidate will have to register themselves on the official website. After successful registration, candidate will then have to fill the CMAT 2017 Application Form and then pay the application fee. A candidate intending to apply to AICTE-CMAT 2017 must complete the application process before the last date, i.e. December 10, 2016.
While filling the application form, a candidate must provide correct details, since any wrong information may lead to rejection at any stage of admission process. After successful completion of the CMAT 2017 Application Process, a candidate must take a printout of the completed application form for future reference.
CMAT 2017 Registration Fee
Candidates who apply to CMAT 2017 exam will have to pay the following amount as Registration fee:

The application fee can be paid both online (through debit/credit cards) or offline (through SBI e-challan). The e-challan can be generated during application form filling by choosing the offline payment option.
CMAT 2017 Admit Card
CMAT 2017 Admit Card will be available for download on the AICTE-CMAT official website from January 13, 2017. The admit card can be downloaded by logging into candidate’s profile using the individual login id and password issued to each candidate during Registration Process . The admit card will not be sent via post, so candidates are advised to remain updated on the official schedule for CMAT exam. The CMAT 2017 Admit Card will contain details of the exam venue, exam date, and exam slot, apart from the personal details of the candidate provided during application process.
After downloading the admit card, a candidate must verify the details provided on their admit card. They are also required to paste a passport size colored photograph on the space provided on the admit card. A candidate must also carry a proof of identity with the admit card on the day of exam.
CMAT 2017 Exam Centers
CMAT 2017 is held in various cities of the country. An applicant can choose 3 exam cities in order of preference. CMAT 2017 Exam Centre will be allotted on the basis of the availability of slot in that particular exam city. The details of the CMAT 2017 Exam Center will be given on the CMAT 2017 Admit Card.
CMAT 2017 Exam Pattern
The CMAT 2017 is a computer-based test which will be conducted in a two-day window in January 2017, i.e. January 28 & Janury 29, 2017. The candidates who have registered for CMAT 2017 must understand the CMAT 2017 Exam Pattern to prepare for the examination. The examination is divided into 4 sections with 100 multiple choice questions in total. The language for the CMAT 2017 paper is English.
It is a 3 hour duration examination which tests the basic knowledge and problem solving skills of the candidate. The paper will have MCQ type questions which means there will be four options to each question sna dthe candidate will have to determine and mark the correct one from them. Each correct answer is marked with +4 marks. 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect response.

CMAT 2017 Syllabus
The first section of the Paper is Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation.The questions in Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation are generally from the curriculum of 10+2 Mathematics. The Language comprehension part covers topics such as English Grammar, Vocabulary etc. Logical Reasoning is an ope-ended section. While there might not be a fixed syllabus for Logical Reasoning, the difficulty level of this section is on par with the abilities of an average candidate. The General Awareness section is also an open-ended section and may have topics ranging from current affairs, general science, economics, sports etc.

CMAT 2017 Results
CMAT result will be declared online in the first week of February. The result of a candidate will be based on his or her performance in the CMAT 2017 Exam. After the declaration of results, a candidate can download CMAT 2017 Score by logging into the official website using Email ID and Password. The Result for CMAT exam is declared in the form of percentile score. The formula for calculating CMAT 2017 Score is given below:
Percentile in CMAT 2017(P) = ((N-Candidate’s rank)/N)* 100
P is Percentile and N is Number of Candidates
CMAT 2017 Score Card contains information such as total and sectional score, total and sectional percentile and All India Rank. After the declaration of scores, AICTE will also release CMAT 2017 Merit List for qualified candidates. The Merit List will have the total and sectional score and percentile for each candidate. It will also include the All India Rank for each candidate.

CMAT 2017 Cut Off
CMAT Cutoff is the minimum marks or percentile a candidate must have scored in the CMAT exam to get admission to management programme in desired college or institute. After the announcement of CMAT Results, qualified candidates have to appear for selection process in the participating institutes. The admission of a candidate to a particular institute will depend on the CMAT 2017 Cutoff. A student has to score marks above the Cutoff to be called for selection process. CMAT 2017 Selection Process
After the declaration of results and merit list on the official website, the candidates who have scored more than qualifying marks will be called for counselling problems. The selection of candidates will be based on the marks scored by him or her in the CMAT 2017 Exam, Group Discussion and Personal Interview and/or Written Ability Test. Only those applicants whose names have appeared in the CMAT 2017 Merit List will be called for next round of Selection process. The selection process may vary according to the needs of the college conducting the counselling process.
CMAT Selection Procedure involves following steps:
- CMAT 2017 Score
- Group Discussion (GD)
As a part of GD, the candidates may be split in groups of 10 or so and then, they may be given a topic related to current affairs or business affairs to discuss. The time duration for the GD may be anything from five to ten minutes. Points are awarded on the basis of the initiation skill (who starts off the GD), negotiation skills (who convinces other of his or her idea), managerial skills (who is able to ensure that the GD doesn’t get off track and goes on smoothly), encouragement skills (who is able to ensure that everyone gets a chance to voice out their opinions) and closure skills (who is able to summarise the points discussed and bring the GD to a meaningful end.
- Personal Interview (PI) and/or Written Ability Test (WAT)
A confident personality, a creative thought process and an innovative bent of mind are the parameters that are looked for in the candidate. If the candidate can maintain a calm and composed persona without getting flustered under pressure, then chances are that he or she would get selected, given everything else is in order.
In addition to the Personal Interview, some institutes may also conduct a Written Ability Test (WAT). This round is designed to test the candidate’s awareness about world affairs or his opinion on certain important issues. Reading the newspaper regularly and going through important magazines is highly recommended for successful preparation of this round.
An institute or college will prepare a final list on the basis of the marks scored by the candidate in the GD, PI and WAT. The students will be notified regarding the same either by releasing the list online or by sending individual call letters to the candidates.
