CEED 2017 PATTERN & SYLLABUS
NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE/OFFLINE TEST
CEED 2017 Exam Pattern includes two parts, A & B. Candidates who clear Part A will be eligible to appear for Part B of the exam. For thhis year, CEED 2017 will be held on January 22, 2017. Candidates must prepare according to the CEED Syllabus, gaining extensive knowledge about each of the topics. CEED is an examination where candidates are assessed by analyzing their aptitude in design comprising of visual sensitivity, drawing skills, rational interpretation and creativity along with communication skills.

The CEED 2017 exam pattern is going to be similar to CEED 2016 exam pattern. The exam will have two parts. Part A of the exam will have questions to test your general awareness. The part B is to test the knowledge related to designing.
The Part A of CEED 2017 has 60 questions in total which are divided into 3 sections. It includes MCQ/MSQ and NAT based questions. Part A will be conducted from 10.00 hours to 11:00 hours on the day of the exam. Part A is an online i.e. Computer based Test. There will be no breaks during the exam time given.
The MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) section has 10 questions with four options. Candidates have to choose one correct option for the question asked. The MSQ (Multiple Select Questions) have multiple answers for one question. There are 10 MSQs in CEED 2017. The candidates shall be marked positively for each question in case all the correct choices are marked. There will be no negative marking or partial marking for this section.
For the NAT (Numerical Answer Type) section the candidates are required to mark the answer using a virtual keyboard on the monitor. There are no choices for these questions.

The Part B of CEED is of 2 hours in duration and is pen and paper based examination. Candidates who qualify in Part A can appear for Part B. Candidates will have to attempt drawing based questions and writing skills based questions in this part of CEED 2017. The first 3 questions are compulsory to attempt and the next 4 questions are optional. The total weightage of the Part B of CEED 2017 is 100 marks.

The marking scheme of CEED Exam lets you know about the marks distribution and deduction. The time duration for part A is 1 hour. There are a total of 60 number of questions where 2 marks are allotted for each correct answer. Marks deducted for each wrong answer will be 0.6.
The time duration for part B is 2 hours. This section is designed to check drawing and hand drawing. Part B has following details in it:
The first question of memory drawing carries 30 marks. The second question based on Sketching of ideas carries 20 marks while the third question based on writing skills carries 10 marks. The optional questions carry 10 marks each. Thus the total weightage of Part B of CEED 2017 is 100 marks.
Note: The 2017 exam pattern may change depending upon the examination committee. The marking scheme is not clearly defined for part B. However the merit list will be prepared on the basis of the score the candidate has scored in Part B of the exam.
