BITSAT 2017 Application Process

BITSAT  Registration has already started. Candidates can apply online till March 6, 2017.The registration include 4 steps- Online Registration, Filling Application Form, Fee payment and  Save application form.

The application fee for male and female is INR 2750 and INR 2200 respectively. Application fee for International candidates is $50. The initial step for BITSAT Application Process is Registration followed by fillingthe necessary details in the BITSAT Application form. Candidates can pay the application fee through either online (Credit/Debit card/Net banking) or offline mode (e-challan).

During form submission candidates have to also indicate their 3 choices of exam centers. Candidates can check the status of the BITSAT Application form after submission. Important Dates for BITSAT 2017

You will need to keep in check about the important dates for the BITSAT 2017 from the availability of application form till the results are out, in order to get admission in BITS Pilani 2017-18.The application form must be submitted on time, i.e., till first March 06, 2017. They also avail you the option of editing filled in forms which you can do by March 07-10, 2017. 

BITSAT Admit card can be downloaded from third week of April to last week of April, 2017. which you need to keep secure with you.

BITSAT 2017 Eligibility

You also need to fulfill the BITSAT Eligibility in order to apply for the entrance exam, The criteria is mentioned below:

  1. For admission in all the integrated courses except B. Pharm candidates should have passed 12th examination or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (with proficiency in English) from a recognized Central or State board examination. And for B.Pharm course, the only exception is that the equivalent should have Physics, Chemistry and Biology (With proficiency in English). The candidates can apply for pharmacy with PCM also.
  2. Candidate should have obtained a minimum aggregate of 75% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or PCM, if you have chose Mathematics in BITSAT and 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or PCB, if you have chose Biology in BITSAT. Along with it, you should have also scored at least 60% marks in each of the subjects separately.
  3. In BITSAT 2017, the students who have passed 12th examination in 2015 or are appearing in 12th examination of 2017 can only apply. If you have attempted 12th examination more than once, your latest performance will be taken into consideration. Thus, students who have appeared in 12th examination of 2015 or before are not eligible to sit in the examination. Students already studying in BITS campuses are also not eligible to appear in BITSAT 2017.
  4. Direct admission will be given to Board toppers i.e. students who have obtained first ranks in their respective state or central or any other board examination will be give admissions in the course of their own choice, irrespective of their BITSAT 2017 score.
  5. Admissions are according to the merit list obtained by the authority. Merit list is based on the BITSAT 2017 score and the marks obtained in 12th class.

BITSAT 2017 Application Process

You can find the details of the courses and how to fill application form on BITSAT official website. We have also mentioned the exact steps for filling BITSAT application form. Please read carefully and mention all the details in the application accordingly. The steps are as follows:

  1. Aspirants need to register online at BITSAT official website All the necessary information will be provided on that link about how to fill the application form correctly. Read all the information carefully before you click on the link “APPLY Online” which will be a link to the application form.
  2. When you reach the page, you will find spaces to enter your full name, Gender, Date of Birth and Email Id as asked in the application form. The email id asked will be referred by the authority to give all the future information about the exam.
  3. Fill in all the personal details and details of class 12th examination after verifying all the details from your mark-sheet and if you submit false information, you will be disqualified in the further rounds. Details will include Name of institution, name of examination board, year of passing or appearing, subjects for which you are taking part in BITSAT. There will be a choice between Mathematics and Biology. Biology students will be allowed to apply only for B. Pharm programme and no other programme.
  4. Then, you will be asked all your personal details which would be father’s name, mother’s name, nationality, address for correspondence, city, pin code, state, phone number and mobile number. This mobile number will be used to send you further details of the examination.
  5. You should also submit your test center preferences for giving the exam. The name of the test centers have been provided to you on our webpage. The test cities will also be mentioned in the drop down menu. If you want Dubai to be the test center, you have to select only first preference. The, you can click on the submit button.
  6. Then, you can also revise all the details and edit them if there is any mistake. If you wish to edit those details, you need to click on “Edit Above Details”. Click on Submit once you have revised them all and are sure that the details are correct.
  7. In the end, proceed to payment. You need to pay application fee through online payment gateway or e-challan.  The fee payment modes are multifold and you can submit it by either ways.

The Application fee for BITSAT Exam is Rs 2750 for male student, Rs 2200 for female student and $60 for international candidates. The payment could either be made online or could be made offline.

3. You can also make cash payment at ICICI bank branches all over India. They will generate a pay-slip once the payment is made.
4. On this basis, an application number will be generated when you submit Online BITSAT Application Form. This number must be kept secured with you in order to download the hall ticket. 

BITSAT 2017 Application Number

That is, you must add your email address, mobile number and Date of birth when the link will be opened and this will help you find your application number.

Note- If you make a mistake while filling the details in the application form, BITSAT provides you the facility to correct them on time as well. No more time will be given for the correction of those details. Link will be provided in the BITSAT official website which should be clicked to edit all your incorrect details.

BITSAT 2017 Application Form Status

You can check the BITSAT application form status from the official website of BITS Pilani. It is necessary that you check it in order to make sure that the form has been accepted by the conducting body or not. Otherwise, Admit card will not be available by April 17, 2017.

If you want to check the status, you have to follow the steps:

  1. You need to access the window below the link “Application Status” and submit your Application Number, Gender and Date of Birth in the given space.
  2.  If the BITSAT 2017 Application Form Status is positive and shows “successful/received”, it means that the form has been accepted or received. If it is rejected or somehow has not reached, result will be “unsuccessful/not received”.


BITSAT 2017 Admit Card

BISAT Admit card or hall ticket can be downloaded from the official website of BITS anytime between third week of April to last week of April, 2017. The admit card include details such as name, application number, test date, time and center. After all the slots of BITSAT will be booked, candidates will be given these ten days to download their admit cards from the official website of BITS Pilani. In order to download BITSAT Admit Card, you will need to log in using your application number which will be provided to you when you submit your application. You will also require fill in your gender and date of birth in the details section. All the details should be correct and the document should be kept secure in order to be allowed permit into the exam hall.


There is no reservation in BITSAT 2017. Candidates will have to rely on their own skills in order to get admission in BITSAT 2017 and the competition level increases as reservation is ruled out. Selection will only be merit based and no relaxations are given to reserved candidates under Government criteria.

2. KK Birla Goa Campus of BITS Pilani will have B.E in Chemical, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics &Instrumentation, Mechanical and Master Degrees in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics, Physics.


3. Hyderabad Campus of BITS pilani will provide admission in B.E in Chemical, Civil, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Instrumentation, Mechanical, Manufacturing and B. Pharm. It will also include Master Degrees in Biological Sciences, Chemistry; Economics, Mathematics, Physics.



Ques. What if you forget your application number or lose it?

Ans.  If in case, you have forgotten your application number or have lost it, there is a way to download  the hall ticket and you need not be afraid. All you have to do is visit the official website when admit card BITSAT 2017 will be available. Then, you have to enter your name and birth date. This will deliver your application number and you can use it then and there to download the hall ticket.

Ques. what if they do not provide you the hall ticket, even if your application status is received?

Ans.  If they do not provide you the hall ticket, you can get to know about your center and seat allotment by contacting with the official number 01596-242205. They will help you write the exam without the use of hall ticket or BITSAT admit card.
