BIT MCA 2017 RESULT & COUNSELLING
NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
BIT MCA 2017 is the online exam conducted by BITS (Birla Institute Of Technology) for admission to all the 6 locations that BITS has for MCA study. The exam is conducted for admission to Masters in Computer Application (MCA) program for year 2017. The examination is on 4th and 5th June 2017 the days are Saturday and Sunday.
It has proposed to declare its list of first provisional admissions on June 15th 2017. The rank of top 1000 candidates will be displayed.
After the first list the counseling will start at BITS, Mesra and other off campus centers (Noida, Lalpur and Jaipur). The second list is expected to come in July after the course classes have commenced in 3rd week of July 2017.
Seats are reserved for the OBC/SC/ST category students. For more details on reservation you can check the website time to time.
This is an online application test. The application requires the candidate to register with the BIT Mesra candidate portal. For details please login to the official website. The important dates for the entire process from the form filling to the commencement of classes are as follows:

The candidate has to pay an online test fee of Rs.2500 (General /OBC candidate) and a fee of Rs.1500(for SC/ST candidate). This has to be paid through the State bank collect (any nationalized branch). Depending upon the number of application received or seats allotted we have the exam to be conducted in 3 slots. Available slot timings are 9.00-11.00 am /12.00pm-2.00pm/3.00pm-5.00pm.
The number of seats are as follows at each centre: There are in total 285 seats for the MCA program in BITS. This includes both the on campus and off campus seats. The number of seats vary every year so for this year the details are as follows:

The score card will contain the score that the candidate has obtained in each of the stream. The score card will detail the questions you attempted that are correct and those that are wrong.
The score will be out of 480 in total and following is the weightage of each stream:
There are 120 questions in total and total time is of 2 hours .It is an objective (MCQ) paper and not subjective. For every correct answer you will be given 4 marks and every wrong answer 1 mark is deducted. In the question is not attempted no marks are given.

Once the examination process has completed then the result will be displayed on the college website on or before June 15th 2017. To obtain the detailed result please follow the steps:-
The candidate needs to clear the minimum cut-off given. This is a institute based cut-off list that the BITS team will provide on the date of the first provisional admission list. The weightage criteria is 70% for the MCA Online admission test and 30% for the marks the candidate has got in the previous academic session.

Know About BIT MCA Selection Procedure
The merit list is prepared on the basis of the Cut-off in the MCA online exam and the marks secured from class 10th till graduation. The merit list basis for the year 2015.

The candidates who clear the basic cut-off and have their name short listed will be called for the interview. The candidates who appear for the counseling will get admission depending upon the availability of the sets in the institute of their preference. The waitlisted candidate can be called in case there are seats vacant.
Once the result is declared the provisional selection is based on the rank that the candidate has secured in the BIT MCA 2017. Details of the same can be checked from the website http://www.bitmesra.ac.in
Once the rank has been given after checking all the documents the candidate will be allotted a seat provisionally and only after the verification of the documents the seat becomes permanent.
Depending upon the result obtained and the location of the candidate, the candidate will have to report to the counseling centre. The centers are Noida, Mesra, jaipur and Lalpur.
Once candidate has cleared the exam and the name has come in the merit list then the candidate has to appear for the counseling as scheduled. Candidate has to keep checking the website for time to time updates.

On the basis of the reservation certificate for the reserved categories there are some seats separately allocated. The admission on these seats is on the basis of the rank the candidate has obtained in the rank list that is available for the respective reserved category.
