BIT MCA 2017 Admit Card
Birla Institute of Technology is an Indian Institute of higher education and a deemed university under the UGC Act. This Institute was established in 1955 at Mesra, Ranchi in the state of Jharkhand by the philanthropist and industrialist Late Shri. B. M. Birla. BIT Mesra boasts of a brilliant academic history of more than 60 years.
The main campus which is at Mesra, is a full residential campus. Some extension centres have been established in several regions of India, over the years which are, Jaipur, Noida, Kolkata, Patna, Ranchi and Deoghar as well as off-shore centres in Ras al-Khaimah, UAE and Muscat, Oman.
Birla Institute of Technology invites applications from eligible candidates for admission to the 3 year (6-semester) full-time Masters of Computer Applications (MCA) Programme at Mesra and its Off Campuses at Allahabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Ranchi City and Noida for the session 2016-18.
Admissions to MCA programme of Birla Institute of Technology and its extension centres at Allahabad, Jaipur, Kanpur, Ranchi and Noida are done on the basis of performance and scores of the candidates in BIT Mesra MCA Entrance Test.
The MCA Information Brochure 2017 contains admissions to the 3 year (6 semesters) full-time Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme 2017, offered at the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra and its Off Campuses.
The programme will commence in August 2017. The selections will be made on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in MCA 2017 Online Entrance Test conducted by the Institute. Date of Online Entrance Exam is- May 23 and May 24, 2017.
BIT MCA 2017 Admit Card
The details regarding Admit Cards are given as follows:
Admit Cards for BIT MCA 2017 Entrance Exam will be sent via e-mail/post to all the eligible candidates, who have properly completed and submitted their respective application forms within the stipulated time at the office of the Dean, Admissions and Academic Coordination, BIT Mesra, Ranchi.
For this purpose, candidates will be allotted a Test Center, Date and Time Slot for the test.
Test centers and dates will be allotted by the Institute as per the candidates’ preferences, wherever possible. However, the Institute reserves the right to shift candidates to an alternative Test centre/date, based on the number of candidates, for a given Test center/date capacity.
Admit Cards will be available for download on the Institute website from May 20, 2017 onwards.
Candidates need to enter their Name, Form No. and Date of Birth, to download the admit card.
Step by step procedure of downloading the Admit Cards by the candidate from the official website:
BITMCA 2017 Admit card will be made available at the official website of the Institute after May 20, 2017. The admit cards can be downloaded by the candidates from the Institute’s website by entering the candidate’s Name, Form Number and Date of Birth.
If there is some difficulty in downloading the admit card and the hard copy of the same is also not available with the candidate before a week of the exams, he/she may immediately contact the Admissions Office at BIT Mesra, Ranchi by telephone or fax.
The admit card is in no case, transferrable to any other person.
A candidate will not be allowed to write the exam without a valid admit card.
Also, the candidates need to present their respective admit cards at the time of admission into the exam centre.
Hence, the admit cards are to be preserved until the admission process is completed.
There are some documents that will be required along with the application form. They are:
A duly completed print-out copy of the online form.
A recent colour photograph, which should be attached by clip. Also, the candidates should write their Name, Form Number and “BIT MCA 2017” on the back of the photo.
Payment receipt of Application Fee of Rs. 2500/- (for General category) and Rs. 1500/- (for SC/ST candidates, which is non-refundable).
A set of photocopies of the following certificates:
Class 10 Pass certificate, as age proof.
Class 10 Mark sheet
Class 12 Mark sheet/Intermediate Mark sheet
Mark sheets of Graduation for Graduates
In case of pursuing graduation candidates, Mark sheets upto pre-final year
Also, in the above case, such candidate must also enclose photocopy of a certificate from the Principal of Institute stating that he/she will have appeared for the examination for all subjects and also he/she has obtained the requisite number of marks.
Correspondence/Distance Learning candidates need to enclose along with their application, photocopies of the Pass certificates, in addition to the respective mark sheets.
In the above case, appearing candidates who are pursuing graduation through distance learning and the results are yet to be declared, are not eligible to apply for BIT MCA examination.
Caste certificate, if applicable, should also be attached. The caste certificate should be in proper format as per the guidelines and also it should be signed by the proper authority of rank not less than SDO.
Photo Identification: Any of the given are acceptable like Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, College ID, Employee Identification Card etc.)
Incomplete applications or applications received without all requisite enclosures will not in any case be accepted.
If a candidate is provisionally admitted, all the aforesaid documents (except the photo id) in original along with their photocopies will be retained by the Institute for some time.
Some dos and don’ts that are expected from the candidates at the examination hall/center are as under:
Other things that the candidate must carry with themselves are a ball point pen; own Clip Board, pencil, geometry set, erasers etc.
Candidates are not allowed to carry any form of textual material or calculators with them. Also, log tables, electronic watches, mobile phones, pager or any other such devices are prohibited to in the exam center.
If any candidate is found to be in possession with the above-mentioned things, his/her paper will stand cancelled and such candidate will be debarred from giving this exam in future as well.
Candidates are required to keep their admit cards safely and in good condition, as these will be checked and verified by the invigilators at the exam centres.
