BCECE 2017 Counselling

BCECE 2017 Counselling will commence from the last week of July, 2017 and will end by the month of August. Only those candidates are eligible for BCECE Counselling who have qualified the BCECE Stage 2 examination. 

BCECE 2017 Result will be released in the first week of May, 2017 for stage 1 and for stage 2, in the first week of June, 2017. The BCECE Board conducts the BCECE Counselling in multiple rounds to complete the allocation of seats. There are two rounds of counselling and the number of rounds increase according to the number of seats left.

There is separate BCECE 2017 Counselling Process for PCM, PCB and combined PCM-PCB group of candidates.


BCECE 2017 Counselling Dates

Through BCECE 2017 Counselling, the BCECE Board allots seats in different courses of Engineering/technology, Pharmacy and Medical streams to the qualified candidates of BCECE 2017 Second stage exam. The process of counselling for different courses will be distinguished from one another. The table below gives the tentative BCECE 2017 Counselling Dates:

BCECE 2017 Counselling

Qualified candidates of BCECE 2017 stage 2 will be eligible to undergo the process of BCECE 2017 counselling for allotment of seats to various govt., semi-govt., and privately funded institutions for courses like Engineering/ Technology, Pharmacy and Medical. Candidates need to register for counselling on the official website at the link available. The participants must keep in mind the following points regarding BCECE Counselling-

  • Candidates are required to register for counselling after the result of second stage BCECE 2017.
  • The process of counselling will be online and candidates will have to fill their choices and lock their seats before the last date.
  • Candidates will be allotted seats according to their rank in BCECE 2017 Second stage exam.
  • Candidates will have to pay the counselling fees through bank challan.

Registration

Registration for counselling is mandatory. The registered & qualified candidates are called for BCECE Counselling. Following steps are to be taken as reference for registration for BCECE.

  • Go to official website of BCECE Board 2017
  • Click on the link- “Apply for counselling”
  • Candidates will be asked to fill a form with the following information-
  1. Candidate’s Name
  2. Father’s Name
  3. BCECE 2017 Registration Number
  4. Mobile Number
  5. Date of Birth
  6. Permanent & Correspondence Address
  7. Security Question
  8. New password for safety (it must be 8-13 characters, containing 1 special character, 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter and 1 number)

Choice Filling

Candidates can fill their choices and lock their seats online through the official website of BCECE 2017. After successful login using BCECE 2017 Roll number and password created in previous step, candidates will find the following options-

Registration detailsContains information regarding the logged in candidate.
Available ChoicesSeats available to the candidate.
Fill ChoicesCandidate can fill choices (seats) in this field.
Display Filled ChoicesDisplays all the filled Choices by the candidate.
Change PasswordHelps to reset/change password.
Provisional Allotment LetterAvails provisional allotment letter to the candidate.

Provisional Seat Allotment

The candidates can download the provisional seat allotment letter after completing the choice filling process. The candidates can check the status of their seat allotment. Candidates can take the printout of their provisional seat allotment letter. The candidate must possess the same at specified BCECE 2017 Counselling Centre for Handwriting verification whenever necessary. Candidates must carry the provisional seat allotment letter with them during all process of counselling to ensure their admission and allotment of desired seat.

Handwriting Verification

Candidates’ handwriting is matched and verified with the text written in their OMR sheets. This is a uniform process which involves collection of a handwriting specimen of the candidate. It is further compared with texts in their OMR sheets.

Handwriting Verification is done to ensure the authenticity of candidate and their allotment.

Seat Allotment

Candidates successfully clearing the handwriting verification, can login again at the official website to ensure their allotment. Candidates will find a new link “FINAL SEAT ALLOTMENT”.

Candidates can download their Final seat allotment that will be required at the time of counselling. The candidates must report to the specified venue as mentioned in the Provisional Allotment Letter for document verification and fee payment.

Documents Verification

Candidates who have successfully downloaded their final allotment letter, have to verify their documents and pay the admission fees to the allotted colleges. Candidates unable to produce any of the required documents will have their candidature cancelled. The admission process will continue further at the BCECE Counselling Centre.

  • Class 10th Mark Sheet, Hall Ticket and Passing Certificate
  • Class 12th Mark Sheet, Hall ticket and Passing Certificate
  • BCECE 2017 Admit Card for Stage 1 and Stage 2
  • Copy of 6 Photographs used in Online Application Form BCECE 2017
  • Counselling letter for BCECE 2017
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • Medical Certificate (as specified)

BCECE 2017 Counselling for PCB

The BCECE Counsellingfor PCB is carried out on the basis of NEET for the medicine course. The PCB BCECE 2017 Counselling for Medicine, Ayurvedic, Homeopathy, Pharmacy courses will commence on August 6, 2017 and the seat allocation process will continue till August 9, 2017.

It is to be noted that the reservation under the OBC category will be available as BC and EBC Categories for the Medical Counselling Process based on NEET 2017. The candidates have to download the BCECE 2017 Call Letter for attending the PCB Counselling.

BCECE 2017 PCB and PCM Combined Counselling

The BCECE 2017 Counselling for PCM and PCB combined group will start from August 10, 2017. For Agriculture, Biotechnology and Horticulture courses, it is the first round of counselling whereas for Veterinary, Pharmacy, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, tibi etc it is the second round of counselling.  The candidates have to submit their option online. The online choice filling portal will be accessible until 5 p.m. on  August 6, 2017. In order to do so, they have to enter their BCECE Roll No and Date of Birth in the link provided below.


BCECE 2017 PCM Counselling

The first round of PCM counselling based on the second stage of BCECE 2017 will commence on August 3, 2017. The candidates have to download the BCECE 2017 PCM Call Letter from the link provided below in order to attend the counselling.

BCECE 2017 Second Counselling

Seats left vacant after the first round of BCECE Counselling is allotted to students in the second phase of BCECE 2017 Second Counselling. Second Counselling for PCM Group and PCB Group is scheduled in second week of August and third week of September respectively. A merit list is created comprising of all the candidates who attended the first counselling and the list of vacancies in different courses is uploaded on the website (www.bceceboard.com).

  • Candidates can check their Ranks in the merit list and vacancy in their desired college and its branches.
  • Candidates are first advised to obtain their rank in the merit list
  • Interested candidates need to click on “SUBMIT YOUR ONLINE OPTION”
  • A page will appear on screen containing their BCECE 2017 overall & category rank and an option ID.
  • Candidates are required to take printout of the page and produce it at counselling centers at specified date and time.
  • Candidates without their Second counselling Option ID page or those unable to mark their presence in person at counselling centers at the specified date will lose claim to the seats and BCECE Counselling process as well.
  • Documents to be produced at second counselling is the same as first with Option ID page being an addition.

Important Guidelines For BCECE 2017 Counselling

  • Candidates will be called according to their rank in BCECE 2017 Merit List. Candidates will be informed ahead about the final schedule for BCECE Counselling either via post or through internet at the official website (www.bceceboard.com).
  • Candidates will be offered to choose from number of programmes/institutions available to them through Merit cum vacancy basis, according to merit list.
  • Candidates are not entitled for selection during seat allotment because of any mistake made during printing and publication of result/Merit List.
  • Candidates with allotted seats will be informed about the charges of registration process against seat allotted during BCECE 2017 Counselling.  
  • All the Examination related works, merit list preparation, counselling process etc. are administered by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, BCECE 2017. Decision of Exam controller appointed by the board over all the exam related disputes will be final and unquestionable.
  • Candidates are advised approach the institutes for any detailed information about the same beyond that mentioned in the BCECE 2017 prospectus.
  • Any additional information or modification/ correction in the process of BCECE 2017 prospectus will be informed to candidates accordingly.
  • Candidates will be informed about any updates in connection with BCECE 2017 through Newspapers, by post or through the internet. Candidates are advised not to mail letters frequently.
  • Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Exam Board holds right to add, change or omit norms and regulations in regard to BCECE 2017.
  • Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board does not hold any responsibility about informing the candidates about their cancelled candidature.
  • Candidates are to attend the BCECE 2017 Counselling and all other processes in connection with BCECE 2017 at their own expense on or before the scheduled dates.
  • Candidates with inadequate BCECE 2017 Eligibility Criteria will be removed from the process any time when found.

Important Guidelines For BCECE 2017 Allotment

  • Allotment to available vacant seats will conclude according to the reservation norms issued by Bihar Govt. up to the completion of application process.
  • Candidates need to certainly register against allotted seat after verification of all the mandatory documents with their valid photo ID & proper medical examination certificate before the last date.
  • Seats once allotted to candidates in BCECE 2017 Counselling through merit-cum-vacancy basis in previous round, according to merit list whose registration against allotment is missed/skipped by the candidate will not be available to them as a choice in the next round.
  • College Leaving Certificate is to be produced during registration against allotted seats.
  • Candidates should clearly indicate the subject group for which they are applying namely PCM, PCB and PCMB. The candidates must also indicate the subject groups for which they are to take BCECE 2017 Stage 2 Exam.
  • Candidates must be present in person during verification process to validate their allotment.
  • Candidates who due to any reason should not be allowed to appear for BCECE Exam is by mistake permitted. Such candidates, will lose claim to the counselling process/allotment even if he is included in the BCECE 2017 Merit List. If any controversy emerges, allotment will remain suspended till final decision.
  • No vacant seats will be allotted in any branch/programme/course/institute once the counselling and allotment procedure is over.
  • Score cards will be dispatched to the candidates after BCECE 2017 Counselling & allotment, who complete all the proper process for it.
  • All the disputes in connection with BCECE 2017 are subject to Patna Jurisdiction.
