AP PGECET 2017 PATTERN & SYLLABUS
STATE LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
AP PGECET Exam Pattern 2017 for all the 14 disciplines is defined by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. For the academic session 2017-18, APSCHE has appointed Andhra University as the conducting body of the state level exam. Graduates seeking admissions in various PG engineering or pharmacy courses offered in Andhra Pradesh universities have to appear for the exam. For this year, AP PGECET is scheduled from May 10 to May 12, 2017. Knowing about AP PGECET Exam Pattern empowers a candidate with subject wise marking scheme, distribution of marks and questions, time duration etc.
Earlier AP PGECET was conducted in offline mode. But from this year, the exam will be conducted in online mode. For each dicipline, the questions paper will be different i.e. depending on the stream.

Exam Mode- AP PGECET will be a computer based test. Candidates will be provided with a personal desktop. For each question 4 choices will be provided. One has to click on the correct radio box.
No. of Questions- Each paper of AP PGECET will have 120 questions. For each paper, no extra time will be allotted to candidate in any situation to complete the exam.
Type of Questions- Questions in the exam will be of Multiple choice questions. There will be four choices to question. Candidates have to choose the most appropriate one.
Medium of Exam- Unlike AP EAMCET, the post graduate exam (AP PGECET) is to be answered in English language only.
AP PGECET Marking Scheme- The marking scheme for AP PGECET 2017 is defined by Andhra University. For this year, each correct answer carries 1 mark. Whereas, no marks is deducted for any wrong answer or an answer which is left unattempted. Hence, candidates are advised to attempt all the questions even if they are not sure of it.
AP PGECET 2017 will be conducted in 14 different disciplines. They will be conducted in 3 days. The examination will be held in two shifts in a day. The examination for AP PGECET 2017 will last for maximum of 2 hours. Following is the table depicting examination schedule of AP PGECET 2017:
