AP PGECET 2017 Application Process

AP PGECET 2017 application form is to be filled by all the participants who wish to appear for the AP PGECET 2017 exam. The candidates can apply for the exam on official website. The candidates need upload the scanned copy of the photograph and signature in the AP PGECET application form. The AP PGECET application process is different for the GATE qualified candidates. The candidates just have to pay the fee of INR 500. The GATE qualified candidates of the reserved category need to pay the fees of Rs. 250 only.

The candidate must have completed the graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks for general category candidates as per the AP PGECET eligibility criteria. The minimum percentage for reserved category candidates is 45%. AP PGECET (Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Combined Entrance Test) is conducted by the board of technical education in the state of Andhra Pradesh

AP PGECET 2017 Important Dates

AP PGECET 2017 exam has a well-planned schedule for all the events related to the exam. The AP PGECET 2017 Application Process will begin from March 6, 2017. The last date to apply for AP PGECET without late fee is April 25, 2017.

How to Apply for AP PGECET 2017?

AP PGECET 2017 Application Process requires the applicant to complete the AP PGECET 2017 registration process. The process requires the applicant to get himself/herself registered with the state exam board responsible for conducting the exam. The AP PGECET 2017 Application Process has to be completed online.

The AP PGECET 2017 Application fee can be paid in the online or offline mode. The candidate has to upload the scanned copy of the recent passport size photograph and signature as asked in the AP PGECET 2017 Application. The detailed AP PGECET 2017 Application Process is as follows:

Step 1: Payment of AP PGECET 2017 Application fee

The payment of application fee can be done in the online or offline mode. The general category candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs. 600 for reserved category candidates and Rs.300 for unreserved category candidates.

Payment of the AP PGECET 2017 Application fee can be done at the online AP online fee center. The required details at the center are as follows:

  • Candidate’s name
  • Father’s name of the candidate
  • Candidate’s Date of Birth
  • Hall ticket or admit card number for SSC or class 10 with year and month of passing details
  • Functional mobile number
  • Tests & papers opted for examination

The fee has to be paid at the application fee center by showing the SSC or class 10 admit card or hall ticket. The candidate must collect the fee payment receipt before leaving the center. It is important to keep the transaction ID safe as it will be used for future use.

The candidate needs to fill the following details while paying application fee through the credit/debit card:

  • Candidate’s name
  • Father’s name of the candidate
  • Candidate’s Date of Birth
  • Hall ticket or admit card number for SSC or class 10 with year and month of passing details
  • Functional mobile number
  • Tests & paper(s) opted for examination

Step 2: Filling in the AP PGECET 2016 Application Form

  1. Candidate must login to the online application portal using the transaction ID that was generated at the time of payment.
  2. The candidate must provide the following details on the page:
  • Payment Source
  • Transaction Id
  • Mobile number
  • Date of Birth (As per SSC/Class 10)
  • SSC (10th Class) Hall Ticket Number
  • Month & Year of Passing SSC /Class 10

3. Upload the scanned copy of the photograph and signature. The scanned copy of the photograph must be 40Kb in size. The scanned copy of the signature is less than 30Kb in size.

On the page the candidate has to provide the following details in the sequence give below:

  • Qualifying Degree
  • Specialization in Qualifying Degree
  • Tests appearing in PGECET:
  • Annual Income of the Parents in (Rs)
  • Candidate Details
  • Category
  • Seeking Admission under Special Category
  • Local Area Status
  • Minority
  • Study Details from class 4 till graduation
  • Address for Correspondence

Step 3: Submission of AP PGECET 2017 Application Form:

  • Once the AP PGECET 2017 application form is completely filled it is suggested that a preview is done. The page will display the AP PGECET 2017 registration ID once the application form is filled.
  • Candidate must note down the AP PGECET 2016 Registration ID. This ID will be used for the future reference.

Forgot registration number:

In case the applicant has forgotten the registration number then he/she has to go through the following steps to get the AP PGECET 2016 registration number:

  1. Open the browser and type the link http://www.appgecet.org/.
  2. Click on the sub link “Forgot registration number”.
  1. When you click on the link it will take you to a new page. You need to provide the details transaction id, mobile number and date of birth details.

AP PGECET 2017 Registration

  1. Click on proceed button and the details are received on the mobile number.

Forgot Transaction number (ID)

The candidate needs to follow a simple 4 step procedure to get the transaction number. The steps are as follows:

  1. Open the web browser and type the http://www.appgecet.org/.
  2. Click on the sub link given as “Forgot Transaction number”.
  3. This will take you to a new page. The candidate must provide the details of payment source, mobile number, date of birth, class 10 admit card and details of passing class 10.

  4. Click on “Proceed” button and the details are received on the mobile number and email id.

Request for correction in application form

The candidate finds at a later stage that some information furnished is wrong he/she can request for the correction in the AP PGECET 2016 application form. The candidate must follow the simple 4 step process given here:

  1. Open the official website http://www.appgecet.org/.
  2. Look for the sub link “Request corrections in application form”.
  3. Click on the link and this takes you to a new page. Provide the details about registration ID, mobile number and date of birth.

  4. Click on proceed button and a link is mailed to the email id to do the corrections.
  5. Follow the link and do the corrections in the application form and click on “Submit” button.

Application Process for Candidates Applying Through GATE

Step1: Payment of application fees

The fee of Rs.500 has to be paid by the general category candidates. The Reserved (SC/ST) candidates have to pay an amount of Rs.250.

Step2: Logging into the exam portal

The candidate has to provide the following details:

  • Payment Source
  • Transaction Number
  • Mobile
  • Date of Birth
  • SSC (10th Class) Hall Ticket Number
  • Month & Year of Passing SSC (10th Class)

Step 3:Fill the Application Form:

  • GATE Details
  • Qualifying Exam Details
  • Candidate Other Details like Category, Local status etc
  • Candidate Details
  • Study Details
  • Address for Correspondence

The candidate has to upload the scanned copy of the photograph, signature and GATE score card. Take a note of the registration number generated after the submission of the AP PGECET 2016 application form.


AP PGECET 2017 Application Fee

Application fee is different for the GATE qualified candidates and the non-GATE qualified candidates. The candidates who are applying for the engineering course are also accepted through GATE exam. The AP PGECET 2016 application fee is Rs.600.

The application fee is Rs.300 for the reserved category candidates. The AP PGECET 2016 application fee can be paid in the online and offline mode. The online payment of the AP PGECET 2016 application fee can be done through credit/debit card. The offline payment of AP PGECET 2016 application fee can only be done at the defined AP PGECET 2016 application centers.


AP PGECET 2017: Eligibility Criteria

AP PGECET 2017 Eligibility Criteria are defined by the AP PGECET 2017 exam committee. The candidates have to clear the defined criteria otherwise, the AP PGECET 2017 application will not be processed.

AP PGECET 2017 eligibility criteria for PG professional program is given below:

  • AP PGECET 2017 exam committee will issue separate notification for admission to the PG course.
  • The candidates who have qualified the GATE 2017 exam will be given preference at the time of AP PGECET 2017 admission. Once the seats have been given to all the GATE qualified candidates then the counseling will start for the AP PGECET 2017 exam qualified candidates.
  • The minimum percentage in graduation is 50% for the general category candidates and 45% for the reserved category candidates. This is the criteria for the admission to the engineering course.
  • The admission to the M. Pharma program requires 55% marks during graduation for the general category candidates and 50% for reserved category candidates.

Eligibility criteria AP PGECET 2017 Graduate Level Pharm-D (PB) course:

This program requires the candidate to clear the B. Pharm exam essentially.

General eligibility criteria AP PGECET 2017 is given below:

  1. The applicant must be an Indian national.
  2. The candidate must belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh.
  3. The candidate has to satisfy all the guidelines laid down by the local/ non-local authorities.
  4. The candidates must satisfy the minimum percentage required by each course.
