Nitin Kumar Gupta appeared for AIPMT in 2009 and scored 81% marks in it. He studied from R.D. Gardi Medical College, Ujjain. Nitin prefers joining coaching class for the preparation of AIPMT helps the most. He prepared from the notes provided by his coaching institute and also joined online test series. Here are some preparation tips by him which may help you in preparation for the exam-

Biology

He says, it was a very interesting subject and easy to understand. He did revision of notes provided by the coaching class many times and even solved the MCQs from Dinesh’s and self-scorer for Biology. He further added, NCERT books were very helpful to him. Classroom notes were sufficient but practicing MCQs helped in memorizing the subjects. Revision and solving questions is necessary to crack the exam.

Chemistry and Physics

Physics was little tough among all the subjects for him but he maintained the same strategy as of the other subjects. A bit extra time to this subject made it easy. Classroom notes were sufficient to prepare for Chemistry and Physics because reading books alone cannot be completed due to its vast syllabus. So he preferred revision of notes provided by the institute. Some printed materials were also provided by the coaching center.

Q. The Institutes that offered you Admission?

Ans. I was offered admissions from R.D. Medical College, Aurovindo Medical College Indore, People's Medical College, L.N. Medical College, Index Medical College, Dr. Harisingh Gour University Sagar, and Dhanvantari Ayurvedic Medical College.

Q. Name the Coaching Institute you joined and its Role in your Story?

Ans. I joined G-5 Gwalior Classes and Gupta Physics Classes. I had best teachers to guide, they provided very conceptual and easy to understand materials. The guidance and support of the faculties made the journey of preparation easy. There were extra classes for doubts clearance on our demands. These things were very helpful. There were weekly tests, arranged by coaching institutions which were very effective to assess the preparation and our confidence.

Q. Rate the Role of you Coaching Institute (Classroom or Online) in cracking AIPMT?

Ans. 10

Q. How did you manage AIPMT preparations along with your Class 12th exams?

Ans. The preparation for AIPMT was as per the 12th syllabus so what we read for AIPMT was equally useful for 12th exam too. So, there was no need to study for 12th separately. This is because of our coaching, as they provided us a program time table for the whole academic year. During the exam period, we focused on particular exam pattern under the guidance of institute.

Q. What were your Strong and Weak areas? How did you prepare and what special efforts did you put for improving them?

Ans. Every person has some weak points and difficulty in syllabus. My mechanics part of class 11th Physics was weak and was difficult to understand. But to overcome this, I solved the multiple choice questions many times. After all this effort, some of the part was still weak.

Q. What is your Five Point Rule to excel AIPMT 2016?

Ans. 1. Hard work- doing hard work is necessity to crack the exam.
2. Guidance- best guidance from best faculties. Without them it is difficult to crack the competition.
3. Good friend circle- hard working friends from the same stream.
4. Parents- mental and emotional support as the guardian.
5. Luck- Of course!!! I think this point should be at point 1.

Q. What mock papers did you take?

Ans. I took classroom test-papers, online tests, multiple choice question banks, repeated questions of various exams like AIIMS, CBSE, PMT Manipal etc.

Q. Websites you followed regularly for practicing sample papers and get updates?

Ans. I used to follow regularly Dinesh online papers score, classroom test-papers, online tests, multiple choice question banks, and solved repeated questions of various exams like AIIMS, CBSE, PMT Manipal etc.

Q. Share your thoughts on the Strategy for the aspirant who is starting 4 months before the exam.

Ans. I am not going to underestimate anyone but it is little difficult for cracking the exam. If you have proper study materials and sharp guidance then it is not a difficult task. Just read the notes and solve the questions for practice.

Q. What are the things you would like to go back in time and change to get into a better college?

Ans. I believe in my present institution and I think I am studying in the best college. But for getting best college, there is no alternative other than hard work.
