AILET 2017 Application Form

The AILET 2017 Application Form will be available from January 3, 2017. The candidates can access the application form on the official website of AILET. The AILET 2017 is scheduled on the first Sunday of May i.e. May 7, 2017. The last date to submit the AILET 2017 Application Form is April 7, 2017 (Tentative).

The AILET or All India Law Entrance Test 2017 is conducted by National Law University Delhi(NLU-D) every year for admission to B.A. LL.B (Hons.), LL.M. and Ph.D. courses. The application fee for the AILET 2017 exam is Rs. 3,000/- for General candidates and Rs. 1,000/- for SC/ST candidates. The candidates have to satisfy the AILET 2017 Eligibility Criteria that NLU devises for the respective courses.


AILET 2017 Eligibility Criteria

According to the eligibility criteria devised by the examination authority, there are separate eligibility criteria for BA LLB, LLM and PH.D programs. The candidates can check the AILET 2017 Eligibility Criteria for different programs below:

AILET 2017 Eligibility for LLB Program:

  • Candidate must have passed Class 12 with the minimum aggregate marks of 50%.
  • According to the official notification released by NLU, Delhi the eligibility criteria of age for admission is withdrawn. Check the official notification.
  • Candidates appearing in 12th class examination in March/April are also eligible for applying

AILET 2017 Eligibility for LLM Course:

  • Candidates with LLB degree or any other equivalent degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks can apply (In case of SC/ST/PwD it is 50% marks)
  • Candidates appearing in the last year of LLB can also apply

How to fill AILET 2017 Application Form

Before applying for AILET 2017, the candidates should go through the entire process of filling the AILET 2017 Application Form. There are certain pre-requisites for the AILET 2017 Application process which are stated below.

  • Valid E-mail Address
  • Valid Mobile Number
  • Scanned Copy of Photograph

The last date of application is April 07, 2017. Any application submitted after the last date will not be considered in any situation. Below are the step -wise process of filling the AILET 2017 Application Form.

  1. Read all the important instructions properly.
  2. The first step for a candidate applying for AILET 2017 is to register online at the official website of NLU Delhi – www.nludelhi.ac.in.

  1. Fill all the required details in the Registration form like Name of the applicant, Parent's or Guardian Name, Permanent Address, Date of Birth, Mobile Number and E-mail ID.

  1. Check if you have filled all the details correctly or not. Then, click on the “Confirm” button.

  1. After that, you have to select the National Law University option from the given list of colleges.

  1. Then click on 'Click here to Apply’ option. Then, you have to choose the course for which you want to apply from the down menu. Then click on ‘Apply Now’ option. Fill the application form and upload your photograph.  Photograph should be in .jpg, .gif or .bmp format. The size of the photograph should be less than 150 KB.  It is very important to fill all the mandatory fields in the form as incomplete forms will be rejected. Then click on 'Make Payment' option. 
  2. One can pay fee through two modes either via cash deposit at post office or online payment. 

AILET 2017 Application Fee

The application fee for the AILET 2017 exam is Rs. 3,000/- for General candidates and Rs.1,000/- for SC/ST and Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates. This fee is excluding the service charges. Below Poverty candidates of SC/ST category are exempted from paying the AILET 2017 Application Fee. One can pay the fee through two modes either via cash deposit at post office or online payment.

Cash Deposit at Post Office- In this a candidate has to pay fee at various post offices located all over India. Check the list of post offices accepted.

  1. The first step is to select the Cash Deposit at Post Office option. Then click on proceed button.
  2. After that choose your City and Branch. The two identical Deposit Slips will be displayed.
  3. After that, take a print-out of displayed Deposit Slips.The candidate then has to deposit the application fee along with the deposit slips at the selected Post Office Branch.
  4. After the submission of application fee, one part of the deposit slip will be kept by post office for records and other will be returned to the candidate. Do not forget to collect the slip.

Online Application Fee Payment

  1. The first step is to select online payment Gateway option.
  2. Then, choose the desired payment option from Credit Card /Debit Card & Net Banking.
  3. If you are making a transaction via Credit Card/Debit Card then you have to give details like Card number, CVV no., Expiry Date and Pin number.
  4. If you are making a transaction via Net banking, then you will be directed to the particular bank's site where your account details are confirmed and the payment is accepted.
  5. After the process of payment is complete, the candidate will receive an acknowledgment slip on the registered Email ID. Take a print- out of this acknowledgment slip and keep it with you.
