AIIMS PG 2017 - Result, Merit List, Counselling
The AIIMS PG 2017 Result for MD/MS/MCH(6YRS)/DM(6YRS)/MDS has been announced on November 19, 2016. Once the AIIMS PG 2017 Results are announced, the conducting authority will release the AIIMS PG Merit list. Based on this, the qualifying candidates can participate in the AIIMS PG 2017 Counselling process. The first round of counselling will commence from December 14, 2016.
AIIMS PG or All India Institutes of Medical Sciences Post Graduate is conducted biannually, once in January and once in the month of July. The AIIMS PG 2017 was scehduled on November 13, 2016.
AIIMS PG Exam Pattern consists of two separate papers-one for the MDS Course and one for the MS/MD course. Both the examinations are conducted in online mode (Computer Based Test). The candidates appearing in AIIMS PG Entrance must be an MBBS holder or must have completed the mandatory one-year rotational internship. AIIMS PG 2017 Results
The AIIMS PG Result has been announced on November 19, 2016. The candidates can Login using Roll number and Password to check the result. After the declaration of AIIMS Result, qualified candidates will be called for counselling and seat allocation process. The steps to check AIIMS PG 2017 Result are given below:

- Click on the link “MD/MS/MCH(6YRS)/DM(6YRS)/MDS May 2017 Session” provided for AIIMS PG 2017 Results.
- Enter your Login details such as Roll number and Password
- Save and download AIIMS PG 2017 Scorecard
- Take the printout AIIMS PG 2017 Scorecard for future reference.
AIIMS PG 2017 Counselling
Applicants must score minimum qualifying marks in the test to be eligible for AIIMS PG Counselling 2017. The counselling will be based on the Merit List released by the AIIMS. In case seats are left vacant, another merit list will be prepared till all the seats are filled.
The first round of AIIMS PG Counselling 2017 starts from December 8, 2016. The second round of AIIMS PG Counselling will commence from December 19, 2016 tentatively. The open counselling is expected to be conducted on February 24, 2017. A candidate must be present in person to attend the counselling process. In case a candidate fails to appear for the counselling process, then he or she will not be allowed to participate in the further processes. The selected candidates have to undergo a medical examination and if found medically fit, then only a candidate will be allowed to take admission.

AIIMS PG 2017 Merit List
AIIMS PG 2017 Merit List will be prepared on the basis of the marks scored by the candidates in the AIIMS PG Entrance. A student must score minimum 50 percentile to qualify for the entrance exam. Only qualified candidates will be called for counselling process on the basis of their rank. Two types of Merit List will be prepared for AIIMS PG entrance, Roll Number wise and Rank wise. Roll Number wise AIIMS PG 2017 Merit List will have the names of the candidates arranged according to their roll numbers. Rank wise AIIMS PG 2017 Merit List will have the name of the candidates arranged according to the rank achieved by them.
In case 2 or more candidates score same marks in the AIIMS PG 2017 Entrance exam, then the preference will be given to the candidates in the following order:
- A candidate who has scored higher marks in the MBBS/BDS exam.
- If there is still a tie, then the older candidate will be given preference.
Institutional Preference for AIIMS Graduates in AIIMS PG 2017:
The candidates who have graduated from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi will be given preference for admission against 50% of total seats available for post-graduate courses. In case any seats left are vacant, then they will be allotted to other general category students on basis of their merit.
Eligibility Criteria for AIIMS PG 2017
A candidate must check AIIMS PG Eligibility Criteriabefore applying for the exam. If a candidate is found ineligible for the AIIMS PG Entrance, then his or her candidature is liable for cancellation at any stage of the AIIMS Admission process. A candidate must have passed MBBS degree from the university recognized by the Medical Council of India or any other state medical Council. They must have completed the obligatory period of 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training on or before January 30, 2017. An applicant who finishes his or her internship after January 30, 2017 is not eligible to apply. Candidates belonging to General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) category must have scored minimum 55% marks in aggregate (50% for Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Category candidates) in the MBBS/BDS professional examinations.

AIIMS PG 2017 Application Process
The AIIMS Application Form is available online on the AIIMS Official Website. The candidates have to complete the AIIMS PG Registration 2017 online. The candidates can register from September 6, 2016 to September 26, 2016. The last date of checking the status of AIIMS PG Application Form on the official website is October 6, 2016. No candidate is allowed to submit more than 1 application. All the documents must be uploaded in the prescribed format as failing to do so may result in the rejection of the AIIMS PG 2017 Application Form.

AIIMS PG 2017 Application fee
The AIIMS Form fee for PG Entrance can be paid through payment gateway provided at the end of the application process. The payment can be made through a Credit/Debit Card/Net Banking. Application fees for the AIIMS PG 2017 are:
- For General/OBC Candidates- INR 1000 + Transaction Charges
- For SC/ST Candidates- INR 800 + Transaction Charges
AIIMS PG 2017 Admit Card
Candidates can download the AIIMS PG Admit Card for PG Entrance from the AIIMS official website by logging in using their Candidate ID and Password. Only those candidates who have successfully filled the AIIMS Application Form can download the AIIMS hall ticket. The admit cards will be available from October 24, 2016. Given below are the steps to download AIIMS Admit Card 2017:

- Click on the link “Download AIIMS PG Admit Card”
- Enter your Candidate ID and Password.
- Download and Print AIIMS PG Admit Card, 2017.
Note:AIIMS Admit Card will not be sent by post to the applicants. In case a candidate is not able to download the Hall Ticket, he or she should immediately write a mail to the Assistant Controller of Examinations, AIIMS, New Delhi-110608 on firstname.lastname@example.org along with full credentials of the application form. If there is any change in the AIIMS PG 2017 Exam Centre, then he or she will be informed by Email and SMS. AIIMS PG 2017 Exam Centres
AIIMS PG Entrance will be held in 35 cities across the country. The candidates have to choose AIIMS Exam Centreat the time of filling the AIIMS Application Form. The candidates will not be allowed to change the exam city once selected. Therefore, candidates must choose their AIIMS PG Exam Center carefully. AIIMS PG 2017 Exam Pattern
AIIMS PG will be conducted in online mode (Computer Based Test) only. The AIIMS Exam pattern for PG entrance MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) based. Each question will have only 1 correct answer. A candidate will be rewarded 1 marks for every correct answer and 1/3rd marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. The medium of Examination is English.
AIIMS PG Exam Pattern 2017 for Master of Surgery(MS)/MD(Doctor of Medicine) programs is mentioned below:
AIIMS PG Entrance for admission to MS/MD programs will be of 3 hours duration. The exam will be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT) and will have 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The marking scheme is same as the one mentioned above.
AIIMS PG Exam Pattern 2017 for MDS(Master of Dental surgery) program is mentioned below:
AIIMS Exam for admission to MDS programs will be of 1.5 hours duration. It will be held in online mode and will have 90 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Each question carries 1 mark and for every incorrect answer, 1/3rd marks will be deducted.
