AIIMS Application Form 2017 was available from January 24, 2017 to February 23, 2017. For this year, theAIIMS Exam Dateis May 28, 2017. All India Institute of Medical Sciences conducts AIIMS MBBS each year to fill 707 seats in all 7 AIIMS institutes.

To apply for AIIMS MBBS, a candidate must have passed Class XII from a recognized University/ Board of any Indian State with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects and an aggregate of 60% aggregate marks.The eligible candidates can apply for the course through an online application and can register easily by filling up their details and preferred exam centre. Check AIIMS MBBS Eligibility Criteria 2017

While filling the AIIMS Application Form 2017, candidates must make the fee payment through either Credit Card/Debit Card or Internet Banking only. The AIIMS MBBS admit card will be made available on May 06, 2017 and the students can download it online from www.aiimsexam.org. 


AIIMS MBBS 2017 Registration Dates

The first step to register for this examination is filling up the AIIMS application form 2017. Hence, it is important to know the dates and deadlines for the application process. The following table describes all the important AIIMS Medical Entrance Exam Dates:

AIIMS MBBS Eligibility 2017

In order to apply for AIIMS MBBS, candidates should fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

  • Minimum 17 years of age as on the 31st of December of the year of admission (2017)
  • Candidates born after 2nd January, 2000 are not eligible to apply
  • Passed the 12th Class under the 10+2 Scheme/ Senior School Certificate Examination (CBSE) or Intermediate Science (I.Sc.) or an equivalent Examination of a recognized University/ Board of any Indian State with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects
  • Candidates waiting for the results can apply too
  • Aggregate marks in the qualifying exam must be 50% for SC/ST/ OPH Candidates and 60% for General and OBC Candidates
  • Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are also eligible to apply through the same procedure. They must submit a proof of Registration as OCI under Section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955 to be eligible to appear for this test. 
  • Foreign candidates nominated by the Government of India are required to have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in their Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination to be eligible for admission to the M.B.B.S. Course.
  • However, foreign candidates would not be required to sit for the competitive entrance exam.

AIIMS MBBS Registration 2017

Following is a step-by-step process of the application procedure. Candidates must fill the AIIMS Application form 2017 latest by February 23, 2017.

  1. Visit www.aiimsexams.org and fill in the AIIMS application form 2017
  2. Click on ‘New Registration’ link
  3. Fill-in the basic details
  4. Pay AIIMS MBBS Application fee 2017 through Debit/Credit cards/Net Banking
  5. Choose examination city carefully from a give list of Exam Centres
  6. Fill in your educational qualification and address details
  7. Upload your passport size photograph/ thumb print/ signature in the desired size
  8. The completion of application process will be ensured by a Confirmation E-mail which the candidates will receive on the candidate’s e-mail ID provided in the application form

How to fill the AIIMS MBBS Application Form 2017?

Instructions for AIIMS Application Form 2017

  • Make sure to fill the form completely and correctly otherwise, the chances of rejection of the application are high! Also, one candidate can fill only one application.
  • It may not be possible to make any Amendment/ Rectification/ Change/ Editing in the field of Name/ Date of Birth/ Category i.e. SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/UR/OPH and Examination Centre after submitting the Application Fee through Debit / Credit Card/Net Banking.
  • Other changes in the Online Registration/Application viz Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Gender, Nationality, Marital Status can be done during Registration process.
  • After the last date of Registration i.e. 15.03.2017 changes are not permitted. Images once uploaded cannot be changed later.
  • Candidate applying under OBC category must possess valid caste certificate issued within last one year by the competent authority. The Certificate must be valid for admission in Central Govt. Institutions. Date of validity of certificate shall be considered as 04.07.2017.

AIIMS MBBS Application Form Correction

Application Form correction will be commenced from 7th March 2017. Students are advised to make correction in the application form carefully. Don’t forget to take printout of the corrected application form for further use.

Candidates must pay the specified AIIMS MBBS Application Fee 2017 as per their category. Category-wise fee has been detailed below:

Specifications for Image Uploading Process

Uploading the candidate’s passport size photo/ thumb print/ signature is crucial to the completion of application from. Hence, to get the image of passport size photo/ thumb print/ signature correctly, candidates must follow the steps given below:

Photograph

  • Photographs must be obtained through digital camera/webcam or scanning a physical photograph.
  • Photographs must be a passport sized, coloured and must be a recently clicked one.
  • The dimension of the photograph must be 3.5*4.5 cm (width*height).
  • It is advised that the students draw a box of 3.5*4.5 cm (width*height) on A4 white paper sheet and paste the photo in the box.
  • They can then scan this box with photograph pasted in it, not the whole paper sheet. Save the image as .jpg/.jpeg/.gif/.png image.
  • The size of image should be between 50-100 kb.
  • If the size of the image is more than 100 kb, then adjust the settings of scanner such as set the dpi of the scanner to 200 dpi and quality of image at low. If image size is still more than 100 kb then resize the image to the given specifications.

Signature

  • To scan a signature, candidate must draw a box of 6*3 cm (width*height) on a white paper sheet.
  • Then, the applicant must put his/her signature in full in the box with a thick tip black/blue ink pen (preferably fountain pen).
  • The size of image should be between 10-50 kb.
  • If the size of the image is more than 50 kb, then adjust the settings of scanner such as set the dpi of the scanner to 200 dpi and quality of image at low. If image size is still more than 50 kb then resize the image to the given specifications.
  • Signatures which have only Initials, capital letters or overwriting will not be accepted. Also, signature must be signed by the applicant, not by any other person.

Thumb Print

  • To scan a thumb print, candidate should draw a box of 4*3 cm (width*height) on a white paper sheet.
  • Applicant should then put their left thumb on a blue/black ink pad. Ink should have covered your entire thumb.
  • Next, candidate must put their left thumb print in the box drawn on paper sheet.
  • Thumb print should be clear such that the lines of thumb can be clearly seen by naked eyes.
  • Scan the box with thumb print only, not the whole sheet. Save the thump print as.jpg/.jpeg/.gif/.png image.
  • The size of image should be between 10-50 kb.
  • If the size of the image is more than 50 kb, then adjust the settings of scanner such as set the dpi of the scanner to 200 dpi and quality of image at low. If image size is still more than 50 kb then resize the image to the given specifications.

AIIMS MBBS 2017 Exam Centres

AIIMS will conduct the AIIMS Medical Entrance Exam in 28 states and numerous cities across India. Due to circumstances such as lack of sufficient number of candidates, logistic, administrative and other reasons, an Examination Centre in another city may be allotted to the candidate. Hence, applicants are therefore required to be prepared to appear for the examination in the Examination Centre allotted to them.

AIIMS Admit Card 2017

Once a candidate successfully registers for the AIIMS MBBS, he will be able to download his  AIIMS admit card from March 2017 onwards. The AIIMS Admit Card can be downloaded from the official website of AIIMS i.e. www.aiimsexam.org. All the candidates must take a printout of the admit card. The admit card will not be sent through Postal System.

No candidate will be admitted to the examination unless he/she holds a valid Admit Card. If the status of Admit Card is not available on website, he/she should immediately contact to the Assistant Controller of Examinations, AIIMS, New Delhi-110 608, along with full particulars of the Registration of application form by sending an email on exams.ac@gmail.com.

Candidates are advised to preserve the Admit Card till allotment of seat in College/ Institute. Duplicate Admit Card will not be issued after the examination.


AIIMS MBBS FAQ’s 2017

Candidates can refer to some of the below given FAQ’s, in order to get their queries answered.

Ques. I want to apply for AIIMS MBBS Entrance Examination-2017. How do I do that?

Ans. The only way to apply for the said course is by filling up an ‘Online Application Form’ which is available on www.aiimsexams.org website.

Before you fill up the form, make sure you have a valid e-mail id as it’ll be required for filling up the form. You should then follow the Application Process given above.

Ques. The Application Process page is asking me for a password for logging in. Where can I get the password from?

Ans. A Candidate ID and Password will be sent to you on your registered email ID and mobile number.

Do check that your mobile number is not registered with DND (Do Not Disturb) service. Also, for ID and Password, if you can’t see it in your e-mail make sure you don’t forget to check the Spam box.

You are advised to remember the password and also retain printout of your Registration form and admit card till completion of admission process.

Ques. I have forgotten my password how to recover it?

Ans. In case you forget your Password, go to the ‘Forgot login details’ link on the login page and enter the following information to get Password:

  • Candidate ID or date of birth.
  • Registered Mobile number.
  • Registered Email ID.

On doing so, a Password will be sent on your registered email ID.

Ques. On the Application page, my Candidate ID and Password are correct but I cannot login still.  What should I do?

Ans. It could be that the following may be the problems preventing you from login:

Internet Browser Problem: Please read the User manual for candidates. Follow the instructions about using internet browser (Internet Explorer-7 or higher version, Firefox 3.5 or higher version) and the latest version of Google Chrome.

Internet connection Interrupted: Your internet connection should be uninterrupted. If internet interruption takes place, the IP address which is being monitored will change and a ‘Your session has expired’ message will be displayed. Please try to login from another computer from which other candidate(s) have logged in successfully.

Ques. I think I made a mistake regarding Personal Details in my form. Can the names and other details be changed?

Ans. No, The following information given by the candidate CANNOT be changed after PAYMENT of registration fees:

  • Candidate’s name
  • DOB (Date of birth)
  • Category
  • OPH status
  • E-mail Id
  • Mobile number

 All the other details, however, can be edited till the last date of registration.

Ques. I missed the deadline for registering. Is there any chance I can register after the last date?

Ans. No, you cannot register after the deadline for registration has expired. No communication regarding requests for registration after the last date and time will be entertained. It is important that you register well in time and avoid the last minute rush.

Ques. Can I modify my choices of City/Centre of Examination after completion of last date?

Ans. No, the city/centre of examination once chosen and allotted will not be changed and no requests in this regard will be entertained.

Ques. What are the documents required to be uploaded with my application?

Ans. You only have to upload images of your Photograph, left thumb impression and signature at the time of registration. No other documents are required to be uploaded during the Online Registration /Application process.
